As an Intern you will gain vital experience learning and working with a fast-paced creative and print production company. You will gain insight into the profitability process that our teams use and work with them on improving it. An internship with Imagine means hands-on, real-life experience learning from experts in your field.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to leadership and operational management within a high-paced production environment. The intern will work closely with the Director of Production Operations and senior managers to gain insight into strategic planning, team leadership, and process optimization across multiple departments.
Knowledge and Skills You Will Gain:
• Shadow and support leadership across all levels within Assembly, Kitting, Fulfillment, and Logistics to understand daily operations and decision-making processes
• Analyze and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to understand how data drives operational improvements, cost control, and customer satisfaction
• Assist in setting direction for Kitting/Assembly teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and readiness for service-level execution
• Participate in coaching and mentoring sessions, supporting team development and learning how to build high-performing teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean principles such as one-piece flow, KanBan systems, and constraint management
• Support budget tracking and monthly P&L analysis to gain exposure to financial accountability and resource planning
• Help plan and optimize production floor layouts to improve flow, reduce lead times, and maximize space utilization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders and fulfillment operations
• Observe and promote environmental health and safety (EHS) standards, learning how safety and compliance are integrated into daily operations
• Attend leadership meetings and contribute to strategic discussions, offering insights and learning how decisions shape operational success
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
• Enrolled in a BA/BS in a relevant field such as production/operations management, Entrepreneurship, Business/Economics, engineering, supply chain or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to motivate and inspire teams, delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Above average proficiency with MS-Office suites, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Able to work in a matrix organization with the ability to influence others
• Ability to create and manage a budget with the ability to identify cost issues and countermeasures
• High-level leadership and analytical decision-making skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions – experience with leading, motivating, influencing, and team building
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with a diverse population ranging from front-line staff to senior management and customer contacts
• Entrepreneurial and “hands on” in nature, yet ability to operate in a systematic and logical manner
• Dynamic and results-oriented, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
• Effective leader with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and diverse environment.
• This position requires an individual to be extremely organized, have a keen attention to detail and the flexibility to work with various aspects of a business.

The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
