Under the direction of the Kitting/Assembly Manager, the Incoming Associate oversees the receipt, initial verification of inventory counts for production, stages materials for production, and escalates discrepancies.
Shift Hours: 6:30AM-2:30PM
• Ensure counts are accurate for production to receive the required kits. Compare quantity and part number of items received with specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of materials received.
• Verify material item numbers by matching the inquiry (the list of counts on the production job) to the KIF (Kitting Information File).
• Check-in the materials into the Company's database (e.g., PSI, Veracore, Monarch).
• Print labels, tag materials, and move materials to the staging area.
• Pull Fulfillment materials separately, tag materials, enter information into the Company database, and move materials into separate Fulfillment staging area.
• Update and close the production lines in PSI upon completion of the job.
• Perform Kitting deductions in the database within a timely manner.
• Examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
• Escalate defects or damages to Lead or Supervisor.
• Ensure proper storage and presentation of materials per material handling quality standards.
• As production needs, assist Kitting & Assembly lines in any way to help ensure finished kits are created on time.
• Respect and cooperate with individuals and assist others in reaching objectives.
• Follow all safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in accordance with 5S for Safety standards.
• Assist Lead in performing safety audits and supporting 5S for Safety initiatives.
• Continually strive to learn and improve all processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and/or equivalent work experience
• Basic Computer skills
• Microsoft Outlook experience
Preferred Qualifications of Position:
• Bilingual
• Prior forklift experience and certification
Knowledge and Skills:
• Basic mathematics skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
• Ability to plan and give work direction effectively.
• Technical knowledge of Imagine production processes helpful.
• Strong problem solving, decision-making and organizational abilities.
• Ability to interpret written instructions.
• Multi-task and prioritize.
• Knowledge of quality methods and techniques.
• Good interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
Working Conditions and Physcial Requirements
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
• Frequent walking and standing.
• Ability for extended periods of time.
Location Addendums:
• Charlotte incoming associates will be responsible for:
• Printing shipping labels for planned jobs in advance.
• Checking inventory and report any issues to appropriate parties
• Attend weekly production meetings when needed
The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
