Position Overview

This role involves collaborating with Account Executives, Account Managers, Production teams, and clients to create innovative, unique, and cost-effective temporary and semi-permanent POP displays, store signage, decor, and packaging. An additional preferred skill set includes production art and graphic design, supporting the creation of original and adapted content for prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and output dimensional mock-ups of POP displays and packaging (folding cartons) utilizing ArtiosCAD, Adobe CC, various CNC cutters, color printers, materials, lights, motors, and hardware.
• Create and maintain detailed procedural, instructional, and technical documentation as required
• Work directly with Account Executives and Account Managers across Imagine to efficiently execute structural design projects
• Work collaboratively with creative design team members for rapid ideation and iterative development
• Collaborate with production departments to optimize designs for Imagine’s production capabilities
• Consult with the estimating and production departments to minimize production complexity and costs for Imagine’s operations and clients
• Meet and work closely with clients as needed in a consistently consultative, ethical, and professional manner
• Participate in and adhere to the implementation of process improvements, including data collection, standardized procedures, automation tools, and technology updates.
• Utilize expertise to identify, translate, and implement factors critical to quality as determined by project stakeholders
• Leverage skills and expertise to design both POP display and packaging projects as demand requires.
• Author and build instruction sheets for clients and other third parties to assemble your designs.
• Develop innovative and strategic structural design solutions across mediums from concept through implementation that translate, support, and activate our clients’ brands.
• Oversee production of your design project deliverables while coordinating internal communication and necessary updates to project timelines.
• Provide perspectives on practical design options for both internal discussion and client meetings.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies, including printing, design, and graphics innovations.
• Travel locally or nationally as needed to accompany Account Executives to audit customer locations, present new products or designs to clients or prospects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, packaging, or merchandising design
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience designing with multiple materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated, motion, lights)
• Demonstrated proficiency in CAD design software and tools, as well as the creation of typical outputs

• A willingness to broaden expertise to other areas of design and production while refining proficiency in primary abilities.
• Quickly concept multiple design solutions and evaluate directions.
• Work well under pressure in a highly collaborative and deadline-driven environment.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Occasional standing and walking
• Manual dexterity for detailed and repetitive work
• Ability to distinguish colors for technical art reproduction
• Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, working with computers
• Travel: as needed by clients and Imagine Studio
• Chemicals: Inks, solvents, and adhesives
• Assembling and staging displays with product
• Ability to lift, push, and pull

Pay Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $107,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Statement

The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
